How does the treatment feel?
The sensation during treatment can be described as a slight tingling, this is when the peel is first applied however this quickly subsides. In regards to the IPL part of the treatment can be described as mildly uncomfortable similar to a quick ‘pinprick’ or warm sensation. Be assured that the sensation during the Illumi Facial is very tolerable.
Am I suitable for an Illumi Facial?
This treatment is suitable for someone who suffers with skin congestion, visible signs of ageing, discolouration or pigmentation. Before treatment, a full consultation is required to confirm your suitability for treatment and whether this is the best way to target your skin concerns.
Are there any side effects to the treatment?
This treatment uses safe, medical-grade equipment to minimise side effects. Immediately after treatment your skin may be red and slightly swollen, however this will subside quickly. In rare instances you may experience dry patches of skin, or in very rare cases slight blistering can form with temporary lightening or darkening of the skin, however most will experience no side effects whatsoever. Any reactions caused usually disappear within a few hours which then leaves the skin looking and feeling radiant.
Dermaplaning
What is dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a quick and painless treatment, where we can gently remove the dead skin cells from the surface of your skin, as well as removing any fine ‘peach fuzz’ you may have on your face. This is beneficial not only to leave your skin smooth, but also because the fine hairs on your face can trap oil and dirt, which in turn can cause breakouts and other issues for your skin. This treatment leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft, providing immediate results. Dermaplaning has absolutely no downtime. After treatment, you will find that your skincare products and any treatments you continue with will be much more effective as they can penetrate the skin more easily.
Does Dermaplaning promote faster, thicker or darker hair growth?
No. Dermaplaning will not cause the hair on your face to grow back any thicker, darker or faster. This is because this treatment does not trigger hair follicles, the hair will just return as it is, usually in-between 2 – 4 weeks.
Am I suitable for Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is suitable for anyone who desires softer, smoother and healthier skin with a radiant glow. We suggest that clients who suffer with acne are not suitable for this treatment.
